with Resident Teacher Holly McGregor
In our stress- filled, multi-tasking lives, we need a way to find stillness and clarity. A meditation practice is the perfect way to do this. this course will provide instructions on how to develop a meditation practice, as well as how to apply Buddha's pratical advice in our daily lives. Each class will include guided meditation, a talk, and plenty of time for questions. Everyone is welcome and invited to join us. Sept 8, 15, 22, 29, Oct 6, 13

Resident Teacher Holly McGregor
Holly is a much admired teacher and is known for her clarity and skill in presenting the teachings and for her loving and joyful manner. She shows by example how we can integrate the practice of Buddha’s teachings into our modern daily lives.

Meditation & Buddhism
on Long Island, New York

Buddhism was founded by Buddha Shakyamuni who lived and taught in India some two and a half thousand years ago. He taught methods for gradually overcoming our negative minds such as anger, attachment and confusion, which lead to suffering, and for developing our positive minds such as love, compassion and wisdom, which lead to inner peace and happiness.

The meditation practices that we teach are actual methods to control our mind and to develop a deep and lasting peace from within. Through training in meditation, we shall experience a calm, spacious feeling in the mind, difficult situations will become easier to deal with, and our relationships will gradually improve.

Dipamkara Meditation Center on Long Island, New York holds weekly meditation classes, weekend courses and meditation retreats for all levels.
